Every Day I'm a Star in the City

After looking for it for about a month I finally got and it totally made my day. Yay got some Gabriel Macht to hold me until The Spirit comes out. Thank you Morphadite!!!

Giving the gift of Guitar Hero, going to the mall, finding out it's closed and getting locked out of the car once again. Who’s to blame hard to say. It all depends on who you ask.

I say the driver because the key was still in the ignition which is part of the drivers responsibility.

Morphadite says it’s the passengers fault because she saw the key and didn’t get it, however the passenger didn’t and I’d know.

Needless to say with the help of my father we were back in the car in no time and off to her house and played Guitar Hero.

All’s well that ends well.

They Won!

So today my father comes into my room for the first time in a while and the very first thing he does is taking a look at my posters and informs me that I’m too old to have my room the way it is. But the thing is he came to this conclusion after staring at Mr. Trent Reznor for a few moments. Who cares about the stuffed animals that are all around or the fact that bed has moons and stars cut outs on the boards. Or how about that stash of magazines that I have dating back from late 05 to now. And what about all those books that I’ve had since I was 12 taking up more space than they should. Which reminds me what about all those CDs that I bought just because Jesse McCartney sang on one of the tracks and the many Radio Disney and Disneymania CDs. Who could possibly care about that? So maybe I’m jumping to conclusions but I think the main issue is that Maroon 5, Nine Inch Nails, 21 the movie, All American Rejects, 300, Skeleton Crew, among others that are covering my walls are the real problem he has or maybe the fact that they are all very, very, very hot men that I choose to surround my sleeping area with.

And you know what? I have no intention of changing the way my room looks until I decide to share it with someone, and even then it all depends on who is it. Long story short, I have no plans whatsoever on removing my posters until I get a ring. Which is also when I plan on acting more grown up. To a point that is.

So the first week of my second semester of college is over and all I can say is holy hell that was one of the longest weeks EVER!! I mean come on its only four days it should be a snap. But no. On Mondays I have History of the US which so far is not hard just plain boring, and I usually love history. Then I get to go to my theater class and well actually time goes a little too fast in that one. However Tuesday roles around and this time I get to hear my Rise of Civilization teacher talk, talk, talk about what I don’t even know  and hear him laugh at his own jokes. Then finally media ethics which is actually quite nice but still tends to drag at times. Then repeat until Thursday. Oh how I hate the thought of going back next Wednesday, but I must.

Sorry to say but the lamest classes that I have are the ones with Morphadite. Sorry but even you know it's true.

I hate packing. I really do. When it comes down to what to take and what to leave it becomes a real pain in the ass. I love to travel don't get me wrong but I've been trying to figure out for almost a month and all my bags are still totally empty. I mean what the hell? This should really be that hard.

Going to Fairbanks, Alaska (for thoses of you who don't know) for about a week and as much as I'd like to go because my aunt is guaranteeing that it's going to be totally kick ass, which I don't doubt for a second because she knows how to have fun. But I really don't want to spend a whole week with my father because well we're not on the best terms since well forever or a least it feels that way. But that's a different story that I'd rather not divulge in. Also it would give me a chance to see how it is living alone, you know see if I'm a bit more responsible than my parents think I am.

Anyways going to check the weather report and then start packing. That is if I don't get caught up in something else. Most likely will happen cause I hate packing.

Other Loves

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian is one of the best movies I’ve seen this year. Why, I don’t know. Maybe it’s the totally delicious guys. Come on William Moseley and Ben Barnes among others. Or maybe that it is just simply better then the first one. But whatever the reason it has this effect on me where it is the only movie I want to see when I go to the theater even if it means sneaking in. Call me crazy but I love it. Can’t wait to but it.

Today I went to the Hole Look with Mrophadite because she wanted to get yet another piercing, sounds pretty cool. So we finally get there after spending several hours out and about in this lame ass excuse for a city we finally make it there. That however is the understatement of the month. We get there and well let’s just say we managed to flip through several tattoo books and magazines, talked to one of the guys that works there, watch videos on my iPod and we still had to wait what seemed like forever. And to top it off Morphadite was late for work but that didn’t stop her from walking out, then again I wouldn’t blame her, she did already pay for it. Then finally Ryan calls us into the back room and then that’s where the real action begins. I was there because she was there for me when I got pierced so it was only right to return the favor.  I was cool with the whole thing that is until I saw blood, which is when I felt faint for the first time ever. What was weird is that I’m not usually freaked out by blood but after I saw cotton swab after cotton swab drenched in blood that totally hit me the wrong way. Felt like I was going deaf and the room all of a sudden became too hot. Needless to say me and blood aren’t a good mix.

Today was quite interesting for two reasons

1. It's April and it's snowing like it's December and
2. Morphadite locked her keys in the car

It's true. She really did! I will admit that I loved her face when she realized what she did. Hey don't judge me it was funny. So we get into the library and ask the security if they can help. Their all like "No we don't have the tools for that" which personally I think is really stupid, because I really have a hard time believing that we're the first to actually lock the keys in the car there. So then they call us a locksmith which is totally cool, but that also means we have to go back outside to all the coldness and snow. After about 10-15 minutes the guy finally shows up and unlocks the car. Yay!!! Finally we can get out of the coldness.

What I learned today was

1. Security guards suck when it comes to asking for help and
2. Expect snow in April if you live in Alaska

Funny thing happened today I was on my to school with Morphadite and everything is going great then we get to the post and they ask for IDs, so we hand them over no biggie. Then I’m told that my permit is expired about a week ago, but the funny thing is the way the lady told me. It was kind of like she was asking if it was indeed a permit. So now I have to go and get it renewed or get my license either way it’s going to suck. I didn’t know that they even expired in the first place so that was interesting to hear that and apparently the main reason they don’t expire for most people is because they actually go out and get their licenses as soon as they can. Why I don’t know. Anyways I’m going to go do homework and then go see 21. WooFuckityHoo!!! Later people.  

I’m 19 years old and I still have a permit instead of a license but I’m not embarrassed because I personally believe that school is top priority then getting my license, then start looking for a job, and all that other crap. Also chances are I’ll be driving this summer. Damn it.

To most people driving is a sign of freedom and independence but I beg to differ. I was talking to Morphadite one day and I came up with this reason for not getting my license

·         Woohoo you have a car you can drive wherever and whenever

·         Then you run low on gas and need a way to get money

·         You get denied by your parents so then

·         You look for a job

·         But you also have school

·         So you manage to work out a schedule and that works for a while

·         But soon after you lose contact with your friends because between going to class, then work and then finally doing your homework you run out of time for them

·         Also all that money you’re making at that part time job is most likely going to that stupid car so you can get back and forth to school and work

·         And because when you finally finish everything you were supposed to do all you’re going to want to do is crash on the couch or bed and snooze for a few

·         So as I see if you don’t drive you can put off paying for gas for a couple of years   

·         And use that extra money on something fun

And the way I see it I do have my permit which is good enough for me because technically I can drive I just choose not to.

Also this is all in good fun but for me it is indeed all true.  

So today Morphadite and I went on a search to find this building to go and pick up some Girl Scout cookies for her sister. Simple enough. Not really. See getting lost in a place that you have been living in all your life seems laughable, especially if you thought you knew your way around by now. First finding Turnagain was a bit of a challenge but after we pasted it we found it. Then of course the turned right instead of left and found a dead end. So after about 20-30 minutes we finally pulled over and went and knocked on someone’s house to ask for directions. Yeah I know you’re not supposed to go knocking on strange people’s door but from what I learned in horror movies it’s the gas stations you should stay away from, but whatever. Anyways an older couple answered the door and told us that we actually needed to go back and turn to the left. So we thanked them and set off once again pretty confident about where we were going, until the numbers didn’t add up. First we were in the 3200’s then we kept going straight looking for 3911 but we got to 2700 instead so Morphadite aka the driver pulled up into someone’s driveway and totally turned around which I should add she did this again about 7-8 more times. Soon after we found an exit and thought thank God, yeah wrong again. We found Milky Way NOT Mikey Way as we said many many times, but that was no help because Milky Way was nowhere near 3911, so we found a cabdriver and asked him and he told us that we needed to go back the way we were and turn right and keep going straight. We ended up in a dead end once again, so Morphadite wanted to give up and go elsewhere but we both knew as soon as we gave up we would find it. So when we finally think all is lost we found it. About time too. So yay we totally learned how to get there now, but the question is are we ever going to go back there?

So what we learned is if you don’t know where you’re going just keep driving and you’ll find it eventually. If you don’t go insane first

Also that maps aren’t all that helpful unless they have the name of every street.

About time too. I'm so totally burnt out from school and studying. Totally awesome!!! I believe all I got to do is write about George Lucas and how he challenges me as an "artist", then I have to fininsh my take home test, and finally work on my informative speech, that is after I find a topic. Crap. Not really much of a break now. And to top it off tomorrow I get my braces off after having them for two years so there yet another thing I have to do. Looks like I just totally filled up my so called "break." Now I'm thanking God that I don't have a job because there is no time for it. Until next time later.

1. This Film Is Not Yet Rated-A must watch for all aspiring directors. It shows how the act of sex in film is frowned in our society and how shouldn't be shown to the common audiences. Also shows the process the directors have to go through just to get approval by the MPAA, which is quite sad because by the time they are approved all meaning of the film is gone. Also because of this movie I want to be a movie director for independent films just to say “Ha in your face MPAA!”
2. Cloverfield- Usually hate movies that are filmed as if it's a home video, but I really like this one. Not gonna say any more about it you have to watch it yourself, but after that we could have a nice chat about it.
3. Beauty and the Beast-Not only was it the very first movie that I was at the theater but I have always loved the story an all the characters are just so fun. Also a very basic story of looking beyond what the outer appearance shows. Plus the music is just awesome.
4. Disturbia- Trapped in your own house sucks enough, but what happens when your next door neighbor is a killer and have nowhere to run?
5. PS I Love You-Not really a fan of "chick flicks" but this one is just really cute and has a whole lot of Gerard Butler just being himself, which honestly who could resist him?
6. The Goonies-Mikey, Mouth, Data, Andy, Brand, Stef, and Chunk. Who doesn’t know them? Hands down one of the best 80s movies ever. It’s totally the movie that started the whole “pirate” craze.
7. Home Alone-Has to be evey kids fantisy to run around their house without the parents home and totally beating the shit out of two guys who brok into your house.

These are just some of my favorites but it's all I could think of for now.
